Want to be an Officer?
Written on 1:14 AM by Pantstime - Guild Master
We need 3-5 officers to assist the guild masters in leading the guild. The will be required to attend guild meetings however they do not necessarily have to attend raids. Once 3-5 have been suggested or have applied, we will vote.
Officers are expected to make sacrifices. This means giving up raid positions to those who need gear more badly, farming for guild bank, resolving issues that take time, and keeping up on this blog.
However, officers are also granted some benefits. These include the ability to promote, demote, invite, and end discussion. They are the moderators that others must listen to or face consequences fast. The often get raid invite priority as well.
If you think you are capable of leading us into WoTLK, post an app below. The following should be contained in your app:

Please keep posts on this topic strictly to applications. This will help keep it organized. A poll will be up when everyone has applied. You have until Nov 6 to apply.

I believe I would make a good officer because I know my class, have leadership skills and am a good problem solver. I think anyone who is giving advice or telling others what to do should be able to play their own class as well as have a basic understanding of all the other classes in the game, which, having played for so long and having played most of the classes to a certain extent, I have a good understanding of class roles in raids/PvP/etc. Also, being able to correctly lead people is important. This ties into knowing others classes, because Im not going to ask a feral druid to put on some healing gear and backup heal when needed. Stupidity causes wipes, and we don't need to wipe for stupid reasons. Lastly, being able to mediate problems within the guild is a valuable skill to have. If someone has a problem and it is not addressed in the correct way, it can lead to members leaving, and that's not good (especially if we geared them and now they are going to another guild!). Most of you know that I can solve problems and that I'm not going to blow up in your face about something, but rather listen to the situation fully before making a decision. This can include consulting with other officers before a decision is made.
Also, as both my professions are gathering I will be donating as many mats as I can. Raid progression is more important than getting money of the AH for my mats.
Finally, I want to be an officer because I'm willing to put the guild first, before my own needs in the game. If this means running people through easy instances to gear them, or supplying mats to the guild bank, so be it. Also, I KNOW that if im not an officer (or a class lead) that someone less qualified and less competent will get the job, and we don't need people with "downs" getting in an officer roll.

I believe I would be a good addition to the officers of Standard because I know my class very well, as well as possessing knowledge about all other dps classes and their abilities. I am well aware of what Standard's plans are for WOTLK and will be a main contributer to the tasks that the guildmaster, pantstime, has set forth. I am a very helpful guild member, offering help to anyone who may need it and even helping complete strangers, previous to Standard, with their leveling.
I plan to sacrifice anything really, if anyone needs help with questing or leveling a profession or whatever it may be I have no problem with helping them out.
I want to be a leader in Standard because I naturally possess leadership skills such as being able to take control of any situation and solve any problem that comes my way. also, I haven't forgotten where I came from, in that people have helped me get to where I am in knowledge and skill, and I am more than willing to return the favor as well as spreading the wealth.
So to sum it up, im dedicated, willing to help out anyone who needs it and sacrifice my own time to further someone elses character or game experience, and I possess a good amount of knowledge on many of the dps classes, especially my own...undead warlock in case any of you are wondering.
Thank you for considering me for an officer position in the guild of Standard and happy raiding!
You guys are making me look bad...

I think I would be a good addition to the leadership of Standard because I am really committed to keeping this guild up and running. I go to a school that breeds leadership, so I am all around it all the time. I personally believe i have the skills to lead. I am a very approachable person that really cares for your enjoyment of the game. I have been in many leadership positions throughout my life and believe that this is just another opportunity to show my true character.
Being at the school I am I can only sacrifice so much. But trust me that I will make every effort possible to sacrifice what is needed for the benefit of the guild and all it's members. I want to see this guild as a whole succeed as well as each member individually.
I want to be a leader because I feel that my thoughts, actions, and skills can be most effective in a leadership position. I have been around most of the people in the guild a long time and feel that I have a good sense about what it takes to help run this and I feel that I can take the responsibility that comes with holding a leadership position.
To anyone that has any more personal questions to ask or would like a more in depth interview please email me at david.weaver@usma.edu or send me a PM or mail in-game to Fraggo.

Everything (except MC). As in I have now done AQ20, AQ40, Onyxia, ZG (Didn't get polymorph, those bastards), Kara, ZA, SSC, TK, Hyjal, BT, and even attempted SW.
No, I don't want to be a officer. Just give me Ranged DPS class leader.
I sacrifice my time anyways, so why not more. I sacrificed my old guild, because you're a nig and made me quit both my toons.
I want to be Ranged DPS class leader because I know how to DPS.

I'd be a good officer due to my experience with so many classes. I've played everyroll in raiding as well as pvp. Theres not much to say besides I play this game a lot and I do not have down syndrome.
I AM A BLACKSMITH 375
Same as sean, I don't want someone with an equivalent IQ of a cockroach to become an officer to dig this guild into a huge hole.
I already feel like I help the guild with run throughs quite a bit.

I believe I would make a good officer because I have experience. I have a lot of experience with different characters. I have played a 70 mage, paladin, rogue, warrior, and warlock, what im trying to say is that I have a basic understanding of most if not all the classes in this game(excluding of course, the death knight, but i will once the exp comes out). I also have a lot of experience in guilds, I have been in more than I can count. Along with that i have witnessed what makes and breaks good guilds. Finally I believe with my raiding experience, class playing experience, guild experience, as well as basic WoW experience over the past 3 years will help guide this guild to becoming the best guild on KT =P.
